NOTE: This is only your side of the field. Your opponent has the exact same thing.
Home
As you can see, there are 14 Zones.
5 Monster Card Zones
5 Spell/Trap Card Zones
Deck Zone
Graveyard
Extra Deck Zone
Field Spell Zone
But...
The above field shown is missing a Zone.
It is the Removed From Play Zone. It is where the cards that have been removed from play are put. It is not part of the field.
I am going to talk to you about the Zones.
Monster Card Zones:
You can only have 5 Monsters on the field at the same time. You cannot take control of an opponent's monster
if you already have 5 Monsters on the field.
Spell and Trap Card Zones:
You can only have 5 Spell or Trap Cards on the field at the same time. You cannot activate any Spells from your
hand if you already have 5 Spell or Traps on the field. You cannot Set any Spells or Traps if you
already have 5 Spell or Traps on the field.
Deck Zone:
You can only have 40-60 cards in your Deck. If it is your turn and you cannot Draw a card, you lose
the duel. This is not part of the field.
Graveyard:
All the cards sent here; go here. This is not part of the field.
Extra Deck Zone:
Fusion and Synchro Monsters go here. This is not part of the field.
Field Spell Zone:
A Field Spell goes here.
